Perhaps. I just don't think Dwarves work in situations where they aren't threatening themselves with grievous bodily harm. Guns are too tidy. :-)

Perhaps. Or with human ascendancy in the Sword Age, the various nonhuman races might be forced to consolidate their power. Humans and the fir'Bolg ended up allying, after all, albeit briefly.

I believe they are explosive-resistant. Of course, that ability and the resultant strategy are BLATANTLY ripped off from the Axe Dwarves in Seventh God. ;-)
