I really do doubt it. The holocaust was an attempted genocide, and the Trow did say "exterminate," which leaves no room for doubt…

Ummm… pre-release info doesn't hold much water here. If it did them Forest Giants would worship a giant volcano, fir'Bolg would be known as "orcs," Alric would have been asked to replace the Watcher, a Myrkridian King would exist and all sorts of strange stuff. I base my arguments solely on the facts ingame or in manual. As for the Maul-like Oghre, I've already adressed that in my "cousin races" theory.
