Hitler planned to and tried to commit Genocide. He was also certainly genocidal. He did not, thankfully, suceed. The Trow did kill all the Oghres, later saying in Tales (which is definately _narrated_ from a trow point of view) that their actions resulted in "the extinction of their race." Extinction is an even heavier work than genocide. The Oghre are gone. I don't see any reason that the Trow would hide this, especially if the Maul would have had to march through the Trow lands to get to the West.

They might have freed all the slaves, but also the slaves could have played a large part in freeing themselves, rising against their masters everywhere when they heard the story. Also the Trow would probably have killed the rest of the slaves before going to war to prevent any turncoats. Remember that these fellas were hellishly brutal back then
