And the fact that they had a completely different fighting style, and, when alive, were, apparently, much more effective (according to the manual, good enough to take on a Myrkrydia one on one!). As for being more easily corrupted, consider that Balor didn't even bother trying to corrupt the normal Berserkers: it was the Myrmidons that kept repulsing his armies. Besides, an offer of immortality is hard to turn down, especially if you don't know exactly the kind of immortality your patron has in mind. :D
