From speaking personally to Scott about the Myth story, it sounds like to me that sometimes the hero was choosen to be The Leveler, or someone of great status to humanity. Tireces was the first so called hero because he knew the cycle of The Leveler, coming every thousand of years. Remember, Sorgayoth the Flayed was NOT the first Leveler, there were many before him.
Also Mjarin was mostly helping out Myrdred during The Great War. SiliconDream had some great points on that subject way before M3 was out. Excellent job Sili!
