Personally, I'd bring the "overwritten prose" charge against the prologue too. I actually prefer the Andir story, or the "It can't be hopeless" TFL prologue. Myth is meant to be spare in that sense. It's not an RPG.

Oh, well. I understand that they're going for a more personal, emotional and small-scale viewpoint in Myth III than in previous games. Probably I'm just sensitive to floridity of prose because it's a failing of mine.
