I was referring to the lands north of the forest not the forest its self.

This brings me to another point, I am sorry but I forgot to put a sentence into my post last night. So here it is.

"That is why I believe that the Forest Giants were avoiding that aria of the forest. They did not want to tangle with the Myrkridia again." That piece goes just after my description of the battle between the Giants and Morgrim.
