I took the original image and upped the resolution to 1000 pxls per inch (overkill:P). Since the resulting image was 200+ megabytes, I took a tiff selection and put it up on my "website". Here's the link: (hoping it works)

Although it's a little ambiguous, the much smaller size of the white area in the top right portion of the letter in question as compared to the 'E' in Encampment suggests that it's a K. However, even with the massive resolution upgrade, the poor quality of the original jpeg makes it very hard to tell for sure (as there are no definite captial K's to compare it with). We'll just have to wait for someone to get a copy of M3:P.
