: Aye, I have seen this before, as Sili pointed out, but it
: did just make me think of of something new: "Of
: all the avatara in the Four Ages..." reads an
: Avatara flavor text. We all know, now, how much the
: Myth story has changed between releases... I'm
: inclined to think that these Axe Age, Sword Age, Wind
: Age and Wolf Age were the original "Four
: Ages" of Myth.
: Remember that originally the cycle was 500 years long,
: and it seems that we were on the beginning of the
: fifth age: Tireces had ruled for 500 years, turned
: into Moagim and destroyed for 500 years, then got
: killed by Connacht, who ruled for 500 years, turned
: into Balor and terrorized for 500 years, and then got
: killed by Alric. That would make for four Ages.
: Since we know the fir'Bolg truce is recent, Balor's time
: was probably the Sword Age, and we know that
: Connacht's was originally called the Wind Age, or Age
: of Light. So given this pattern, I would bet initially
: Tireces' time was called the Wolf Age / Age of Reason,
: and Moagim's reign the Axe Age. Makes sense; weapons
: labling the Dark ages, and other monikers for the
: Light ages.
: But of course all that is scrapped now, and we have the
: Age of Reason thrown in there, and the Age of Light
: surname on Connacht's Wolf Age, and Moagim in the Wind
: Age... And all is fux0red. JJ & Robnar shoulda
: stuck with their original idea, even if it did mean
: that this was just another routine Light victory.
Its fairly easy to say why Connacht was a great hero of the Wind Age. Because he did all his major ass kicking in the Wind Age and then built up an Empire in the Wolf Age.
But if they stuck with the original idea we'ed have nothing to talk about:P
