: But back to the topic, It is fairly possible (and fairly
: sick) that watcher could be a result of a myrmidon and
: a calliach erm, "interbreeding".
Exept for the fact that the Trow supposidly exterminated the Calliach arons before any of the younger races crawled out of the sea.
: the Watcher's body is clearly humanoid-almost too
: humanoid to fill the picture of a calliach correctly.
: It is also often suggested by how he looks that he is
: fairly adept at sword welding. Yet he is far too large
: to be a myrmidon, about the appropriate size of a
: calliach. And he has those magical powers. ooh...
But who is to say, and I agree with forrest or whoever it was that suggested this first, that humans are not capable of acheaveing the same leavle of magic that the Calliach possesed? Perhaps the only reason that the Calliach were so powerfull was that they had had time to acuire knowlage and practice. We dont know howlong they existed, nor do we have any real mark to guage the power of their magic exept the word of the Trow.
