: The designation is not Trow in origin, though--or at
: least there's no indication that it is. It's only
: mentioned in GURPS, where it says that the Callieach
: are "called by some Sovereigns of the Time
: Before." Who the "some" are is not
: stated, which would seem to imply that they're members
: of human or Light society and not the unique race of
: Trow whose knowledge on the subject would be the last
: word.
: GURPS says in the preceding section that the Callieach
: were one of the races that appeared in the world after
: the Trow. Again, in the Tales Comic the Callieach are
: described as an example of the new races that
: "crawled out of the ocean, burrowed out of the
: mountains, or fell from the sky" while the Trow
: watched. The Trow described the Callieach as "The
: most fearsome race from a time now unknowable to all
: but us," which again implies that they were there
: to watch.
: Of course, none of this reflects on the possibility that
: the Callieach and the other races could have lived
: elsewhere for eons previously, before they entered the
: known Mythworld by various routes.

"crawled out of the ocean, burrowed out of the mountains, or fell from the sky"
crawled out of the ocean: Skrael
burrowed out of the mountains: Dwarves
or fell from the sky: Calliach....???
Could the Caliach not be THAT old? I dont know how they would fall out of the sky. Perhaps a meteor created them. But it means they are not as old as everyone thinks! They are only oldER.
