Good point, but if the Watcher did assist the Trow in some way, wouldn't he be somewhat of an ally? The Deceiver doesn't seem to have done a whole hell of a lot for them to earn their friendship (although M3 may help), wouldn't being their ally during a war be a pretty good reason for trust. Unless The Watcher refused an alliance, maybe feeling a little guilty.

His nickname, Mad Goat of the Fens, should also be considered. He earned that by doing something, and I doubt it was for his awesome imitation of a goat in the fens.
