In Response To: world knots? (¥ø¥øma)
I don't know if this has been pointed out, and I haven't even lifted a Robert Jordan book since December, but the World Knots are remarkably similar to the that Rand uses to transport around the world, and they are usually in unusual locations. Some are in ancient cities which are still inhabited (such as Covenant) whilst others are in the middle of nowhere, but where civilisation was at one point (such as Rhi'Anon or the one in Beyond the Cloudspine).
