Hooray! Archer has solved the puzzle with absolutely no need for proof or reasoning!
At least put the effort in to back up your claims. Aside from Andir having a pseudo-berserk name, there isn't much to support him being a Northman. He refers to Alric in a reverant way, and Alric is King of the Province, if he were a northman he would probably refer to a Northman leader rather than the Province leader. The general identity of the Northmen is one of rugged bravery, would they refer to themselves as ragged mercenaries?
I think it's safe to assume he's not fir'Bolg, as Andir has to run across a mile of plain to reach the forest, and there aren't any (visible) mile wide clearings in the Ermine.
