yes you are right. but when i say that the Cath bruig owned the province i ment that this was many years beforer the 20 years war.
but one of the theoris i have developed is that.
that there where a great war between Cath bruig and the province many year ago. before Moagim and his Myrkridia allies.the war ended when the city states of the north defeated the Cath bruig empire and conquered the south. and after that the province was one country with a king. but a self gouverning gouvernment i each city. something like EU.
then when Moagim arrived after many years of peace ( age of reason)the Cath bruig empire and the province teamed up to fight the myrkridia. but the myrkridia was not deafeted until Connacht arrived over 100 years later.
He may wanted a base of operation in the west so the western king gave him covenant. or maybe sold covenant to him. remeber that the west neded money to win the war against the myrkridia. after Moagim was deafeted Connacht keept Covenant.
the west wanted it bakk very badly ( it was there old capitol) then after Connachts disapering the west gained influence over Covenant. and it ended with to wanna bie princes. one that supported the west and one who supported the east. The western side one. and Covenant where again capitol of the province.
