maybe he just FELT his power, or was PULLED to him... like he was with the tain

or maybe the Summoner's power revealed itself before Soulblighter found him. maybe Soulblighter heard about him thru the grapevine (dead people are horrible gossips)or maybe the Summoner offered up his services in exchange for his life
