I heard comments from yeegs, another old tfl vet, who had access to pre-release Myth versions, that Balor at one point said something, but I assume this was removed but the string was left alone. It's safe to assume that his head probably couldn't talk after decapitation, not only becuase it didn't do it ingame, but because he would be bound to say something if he could, like a long, resounding "NOOOOOO!!" on his way into the Devoid.
