I applaud your brevity. Probably shouldn't define it quite that way, though, or you hit the problem of reincarnation...is the Leveller undead, after dying ten thousand times? Plus Necromancy is usually defined off Undead in the first place.
I'd say that the Mythworlders probably have a very pragmatic approach:
Look out the window. See those people walking around? They're living.
See those other people lying on the ground with Thrall axes buried in their skulls? They're dead.
See those rotting and/or ectoplasmic things that were once living people and are now going around killing stuff? They're undead.
They're unliving, too.
Isn't that easy? :-)
