: I know they
: didn't, but Bungie clearly weren't referrg to EVERY

Exactly, just the undead ones, the others disbanding.
: It is quite possible Myrmidons
: survived, especially if GURPS says so. :P
It's quite possible that the Myrms (however many could be left and not hunted down) would be left. I don't think there's much problem with that, except that they aren't mages and probably can't sustain their own animation.
It's not because GURPS says so, but GURPS does add a hint and guide that this is the right way to go.
: *Kidding about the last part, I know how much you hate
: GURPS*
Let me just make a final statement on that, if I may, to clarify my position.
We should take as relative truth a statement said in GURPS if it is not contradicted by the game itself (and is reasonably logical).
However, many people wield it like a gun, letting it be the end all and be all of information. That's obviously a terrible way to go.
Let's say we have some clear evidence from the game. We have a logical thought which has been commonly held as truth for a while. The theory is challenged. I've seen all too many challenging theories using GURPS as the sole core of their logic and having nothing else supporting them. I attack those theories and GURPS.
However, if there is a new theory to rival a commonly held belief, that new theory must have something from the game to properly support it. If the GURPS information it may also use to expand upon isn't contradicted, I'd call that theory good. Just because it uses GURPS doesn't mean it's wrong. Equally, just because it comes from GURPS doesn't mean it's right.
