Sure there is :-). The armies of the dark were supposed to collapse when Balor's head was thrown into the Devoid, the magic which powered the dark armies dispelling and disipating.
Maybe this isn't totally true, but m2 doesn't contradict it either.
Anyway, I don't personally care either way if Myrmidons are still around or not in this conversation.
And the joke wasn't that bad :-).
