a journeymans Mandrake roots more than likely Dispels dark magics along with injuries and poisening.
If so then it dipels the dark magics which made the Myrmidions Immortal. remeber it states that Balor made Myrms immortal. Immortal doesn't mean that they live a nautural amount of time and then just turn into animated corpses. Immortal means that you cannot die unless a zerk axe says something else :P
