: Dammit. Word play has screwed my again. should look in
: Dictionary before writing posts Dammit.
: What i should have said is intelligence rather than
: sentients dammit.
K. It makes a tad more sense now.
: Instinct is what controls a Thrall etc. There instinct
: tells them kill him or defend myself.
Programmed instinct, truly.
: And your not thinking of bees your thinking Borg.
Like Forrest? :-) Nah, I thought about Borg too. They have a similarity either way, but those are all very hive-like and intelligent.
: in
: actual fact I think borg and thrall are pretty much on
: par intelligence wise.
Borg have all sorts of ideals and concepts, including perfection, and ample knowledge of many things which require self-awareness.
: The are not dead. To die you must be killed they were
: never killed they never passed away there souls never
: left their bodies.
Lol, you just defined death again. It's the loss of life.
Heh, I don't have to be killed to die. I can die of natural causes. I'm not "killed" by natural causes, per se, but I do die.
: They don't have magic keeping them
: animated. The magic keeps them alive. They are ALIVE.
: Just reaaalllly hungry.
Here, my point:
Life doesn't truly exist unless it is naturally and self-sustaining.
Anything which has lost its natural life (died) and is no longer living naturally, but instead is living only because magic is animating it, is undead. Undead will not live (remain animate) if the magic within them is taken away. Life will live, however, like Alric or a J-man, go on naturally and not die if the magic within is removed. They won't live as long, sure, but they'll still live.
: Phelot was under direct control by the Deciever.
Yes, exactly; they don't necessarily have true will of their own :-).
: They are
: also sentient and intelligent because clearly we have
: seen them in control of armies eg Phelot and Herod and
: Scarpiant need I go on.
They're definitely intelligent too, like myrms seem to be in part. What's your point?
: Lyches don't look undead buuut weel know soon enough.
Lyches are Children of Bahl'al, and every Child of Bahl'al is undead.
: they having the ability to move in groups doesn't add
: alot to there intelligence
It adds enough. They're as intelligent as nanoprobes, at least.
: Because they are used in the same context on the same
: beings its makes sense. Its putting 2 and 2 together
: and getting 4.
Actually, it's more like putting
2 v +2 = 2v +2
:-). We don't know what that variable is.
We can assume from the evidence that unlife most likely means that it is the essense of "life" for something which has un-died.
: it makes sense thats what this post was about. Taking the
: information we have and putting it togther logically.
: though I screwed up by using sentient instead of
: intelligent Dammit.
I'm willing to go with Forrest's definitions completely.
