Myrmidons in TFL don't appear to be undead, rather still living: Balor gave them their immortality, and the Myrmidons assumed that eternal youth was a side affect, or part of the deal. However deals with the Dark never work out like you'd want them to, and eternal youth unfortunately didn't come with their eternal life.
So they're still alive, trapped inside bodies that age normally, and no amount of rotting will kill them, only hostile actions of outside forces like zerk claymores and archer arrows etc. Just because something's rotting, doesn't mean it's dead.™
