2.Maybe the province owned it and Cath bruig attacked.
3. Maybe there have benn a civil war.

Maybe the Cath Bruig empire owned the province once, many years ago. This is very likely. Just hear the name of the land. The province. it sound like it was a province in the mighty cath bruig empire.
if you have played myth you can also sence that there is a not a conflict, but the north and the sout dosn't like each other. Maybe the north was independent while the sout was occupied of Cath Bruig
