: Ummm. Big GURPS mistake in the GURPS quote.
: "Rampaging Myrmidons cart off a noble's daughter.
: Her beauty leaves even these undead smitten, it
: seems."
: Note the word UNDEAD. Myrms ar not undead they just have
: eternaly life without eternal life.
That's not a mistake, necessarily. I had a lot of ideas about what it is to be undead in attempt to define it (a lot like defining life; one can only define the characteristics of it with great ease). Go here to read them: http://www.emations.net/thrallenous/undeath.html. Undeath seems to be more a characteristic of artificial life, which can explain why healing of Journeymen, as in TFL, can kill undead creatures, or even archmages. The healing powers seem to "right" the state of life of beings, bringing them to a natural state; this is death for the artificiality of those undead, the correction of their form to coinside with the natural world. Myrmidons seem to fall under this.
