: I don't totaly agree here. GURPS says that Culweyh and
: Ravanna are to seperate and distinct entities, but
: it's unclear what their relationship is. I have my own
: crackpot ideas on this, but I think all will be made
: clear in a couple months:)
My humble opinion on the touchy subject is that Ravanna and Shiver are seperate beings… sorta. Ravanna was the ravishing female warrior/mage (as we see from the mana bar) who fought alongside Connacht during the Wolf Age. Shiver is an ancient malign spirit who is perhaps able to either possess or corrupt willing beings. This Shiver spirit was either connected to Moagim (the first) in some way, or Ravanna was somehow involved with Moagim Reborn. Anyway Shiver gets ahold of Ravanna partway through probably using either her vanity or her hot temper as a door… thus we both get the ancient evil who created wights and the new, relatively unexperienced fallen lord. It would also explain why she was so pissed off at the Deciever for using her original name and calling attention to the fact that that shriveled hag was once the beauty that Ravanna is in MWA.
Another possibility, however, could be that Ravanna was on the side of Connacht and then was seduced or somesuch thing by Moagim Reborn… this explains both the obscure "bedfellows" reference and the taunting with Moagim that was done by Rabican. It doesn't, however, explain the wights.
