: Ummm. Big GURPS mistake in the GURPS quote.
: "Rampaging Myrmidons cart off a noble's daughter.
: Her beauty leaves even these undead smitten, it
: seems."
: Note the word UNDEAD. Myrms ar not undead they just have
: eternaly life without eternal life.
Whether Myrmidons are undead or not is a highly disputed point, but either way, it doesn't effect the value of the statement.
: Anyway it seems likely that all Myrmidions are female
: (Thos that fight anyway) Also if you look at
: Myrmidions Mugshot they look like some grumpy old
: women.
I don't think they really have enough flesh left for it to be possible to determine their sex by facial features alone. And even if they did look like grumpy old women (which I don't think they do- more like anchient dessicated monstrosities to me), it could well be attributed to having been dead for 300 years. Also, you'll note that, for the most part, their skin surface (and the flesh beneath it) is pretty intact, yet they have no discernable breasts, and their hips appear no larger than one would expect of a male human warrior. As for "It seems likely that all Myrmidons are female (those that fight anyway)", this appears as yet to be a largely synthetic statement. You haven't made a counter to any of my points and are working entirely from the basis of Shiver being a Myrmidon (and what's to stop a woman becoming the general of a predominantly male warrior culture? Boudicca did, after all.) and a somewhat dubious (some would say spurious, but not me) resemblance to grumpy old women.
: Pfhor said something about units from Myth I and II that
: weren't announced yet for Myth III. If Myrms were one
: of them we'll find out soon enough.
The fact that Shiver is labelled as "Myrmidon Hero" would seem to suggest quite strongly that there are Myrmidons in Myth 3. WAHOO!
Martel.
