: Actually, it's probably worth noting that, while
: Myrmidons are thoroughly dessicated, they are still
: mostly fleshy, and if they were female you'd expect a
: lot more sag. Also, for those of you that believe
: GURPS, one of the Myrmidon adventure seeds was
: "Rampaging Myrmidons cart off a noble's daughter.
: Her beauty leaves even these undead smitten, it
: seems." which would seem to suggest a certain
: maleness. Finally, if the Myrmidons were a race of
: warrior women, given the predominace of male fighters,
: you'd expect more Myrmidon names along this theme,
: such as the Amazon names Andromache (man-fighter),
: Andromeda (ruler of men), Antandre (preceding men) and
: Euryleia (woman wanderer). Even so, some Amazon names
: do have a distinctly Myrmidonish or Berserkerish ring,
: such as Molpadia (death song), Prothoe (first in
: might), Pyrgomache (fiery warrior) and Aello
: (whirlwind). Even so, my guess would be that Ravanna
: is the exception rather than the rule, a woman general
: in a society of male warriors, much like, let's see...
: Xena?
Ummm. Big GURPS mistake in the GURPS quote. "Rampaging Myrmidons cart off a noble's daughter. Her beauty leaves even these undead smitten, it seems."
Note the word UNDEAD. Myrms ar not undead they just have eternaly life without eternal life.
Anyway it seems likely that all Myrmidions are female (Thos that fight anyway) Also if you look at Myrmidions Mugshot they look like some grumpy old women.
Pfhor said something about units from Myth I and II that weren't announced yet for Myth III. If Myrms were one of them we'll find out soon enough.
