Do we really want another chase the bad guy plot like in Myth TFL and in Myth2.....?
I for one do not think I would like that sort of thing again.
If we are to believe the story-teller at the end sequence of Myth2 then there is going to be a septannual tournament tradition restored at the capital city of Muirthemne....
To me this sounds a bit like Quake Arena or Unreal Tournament......Did Bungie try to put us on the wrong track here on purpose....a sort of joke mocking said games or are they seriously thinking in that direction...?
The convention of a diary or a book that is read or narrated to facilatate a plot to be turned into a game offers many more options than "just another chase the bad guy plot".
It could desribe a collection of "short stories" bound together dealing with several different and not necessarily connected characters, legends , battles that have to do with the Myth Universe......
For instance a "chapter" dealing with the origin and the progress of the Dwarf-Ghol controversy......or anything else that could be turned into a few good solo play levels.....
This could be done in the form of a tournament where the competitors ( preferably great wizards or warriors with a group of motley companions ) have to perform difficult dangerous tasks somewhere in the land in order to determine their valour and worthiness.....
Just a thought....I do want a new episode of the Myth series but I would like to see something different plotwise next time.
