: Wth? What's your point for mentioning this about the slow
: units (weak units, you mean)? That, because they were
: good friends, as you put it, he let him go easily?

Yes, but I meant that he has become friends with Alric and he had to show Balor that he was his friend not his spy. Myrdred was spy in Dark army, and if
Deceiver will let Alric so easy, Balor will kill him. That what I meant.

: All right so far…

: The Avatara were on the side of the Light, yes, but that
: doesn't mean they may not have ulterior motives.
: They're still human and want to accomplish their own
: goals; perhaps even Myrdred didn't like being taken
: over by Connacht, which is what I suggest.

Mb, mb not I don't know. It was my opinion about avataras. But I think you are right.

: What?

: No no, that's the Heron Guard. The Avatara were without
: an Emperor for a while until Connacht came along and
: was given the position by popular demand. The Avatara
: have basic loyalties to the Light, to the Empire, and
: to the Emperor, but nothing official that we know of.
: The Avatara never needed to actually go where Connacht
: did unless Connacht told them to come with him.

Agreeed

: Never. The concept of this is proposterous. They were
: definitely going to let themselves be led by him in
: battle, but their loyalties don't go any further than
: a common Warrior, or other kind of simple soldier.

Right

: Do you mean Balor or Connacht? If you mean Balor and are
: talking about the Sword Age, no. There was only one
: Avatara left, Alric; there was also no Cath Bruig
: Empire, for it had been razed and destroyed since 100
: years previous.

I mean Balor. hmm, right.

: No. The Cath Bruig Empire did not exist yet. The Empire
: was destroyed before the events of TFL (that's why the
: Herons were at this time Journeymen; no Empire or
: Emperor yet). The Empire wasn't reestablished by Alric
: until about three months after The Deceiver was
: revived. Before that, there was no sign at all that
: there would be a new Empire.

: No. Avatara didn't necessarily hold true to anything but
: the Light. Soulblighter was only threatening the West,
: not the Empire because it didn't exist yet.

: No, no! You're basing this on the assumtion that The
: Deceiver was never evil, or something. He was a
: *Fallen Lord*, the most evil and powerful kind of
: archmage. He killed hundreds of thousands of people,
: all of which were living, on the Light side. This is a
: very evil dude at the time of TFL, no matter how good
: he may have been in a previous age, just the same as
: Balor or Soulblighter both were proven totally evil by
: their incomprehensible actions and attrocities to
: humanity and to the Light.

: This is why it's so strange that, firstly, Alric even
: *thinks* to enlist the power of a Fallen Lord (keep in
: mind, Alric wanted him to help, a truly evil guy,
: defending against evil; not kill him and keep him from
: helping the Dark; Alric wanted and knew that Dec would
: help the Light…which makes no sense…unless he knew
: something). Secondly, Dec agrees with it! He just goes
: and forgets what he did for a few hundred years as an
: evil archmage and readily helps his former enemies!
: It's truly a crazy thing.

: Wrong; Herons would die for the Emperor or Empire if they
: thought they should or had to. Avatara never would
: have needed to do any such thing if it didn't suit
: their own motives (usually Light). You have not one
: iota of evidence, proof, or otherwise to support your
: opinion that Avatara were so devout.

: Wrong; the Avatara are dedicated to the Light, and have
: no other official deligations to anything. Myrdred,
: for instance, did *not* follow Connacht when he
: disappeared. Myrdred was ensnared by Balor when he
: arrived in the late Wolf Age, and even then, it was
: against his will.
: The only one who actually followed Connacht was his
: closest and most trusted Lieutenant (nothing like
: Myrdred): Damas. He and Connacht both came back in a
: similar way, both evil-made from the Black Arts that
: exist in the Untamed Lands which they studied in full.
: Balor and Soulblighter, fully evil now, were the only
: ones who went together.

: No Avatara followed Connacht, nor would any willingly
: join the Dark without some alternative motive in mind.

ok, thanks for comments, Archer. Good job!
