Yes, I believe Archer is right here. If you look back at The Great War, they all split up. Even though they are loyal to the light, they still split up in the war. Half were fighting in the West, others in the east, two got stuck in The Tain, and Alric was roaming around everywhere.
: Wrong; Herons would die for the Emperor or Empire if they
: thought they should or had to. Avatara never would
: have needed to do any such thing if it didn't suit
: their own motives (usually Light). You have not one
: iota of evidence, proof, or otherwise to support your
: opinion that Avatara were so devout.
Exactly. I found out some story stuff on Bahl'al, and let me tell you, he has his own reason for joining Moagim Reborn in Myth III. BTW, where did it say Connacht went to the Untamed Lands? I believe Damas went there much later on anyway. In otherwords, they really didn't follow each other. Connacht probably just kept wandering off all the way to the east while Damas found a ritual temple where he...well you know what he did to himself. :)
: Wrong; the Avatara are dedicated to the Light, and have
: no other official deligations to anything. Myrdred,
: for instance, did *not* follow Connacht when he
: disappeared. Myrdred was ensnared by Balor when he
: arrived in the late Wolf Age, and even then, it was
: against his will.
: The only one who actually followed Connacht was his
: closest and most trusted Lieutenant (nothing like
: Myrdred): Damas. He and Connacht both came back in a
: similar way, both evil-made from the Black Arts that
: exist in the Untamed Lands which they studied in full.
: Balor and Soulblighter, fully evil now, were the only
: ones who went together.
: No Avatara followed Connacht, nor would any willingly
: join the Dark without some alternative motive in mind.
