That's a generally held opinion. You'd think that The Deceiver would leave less for you to fight, but I suppose he had to keep up his guise if loyalty to Balor, in fear of being squished.

I don't know, Myrdred is bound to Balor, not really loyal. The fact that he turns against him so easily, would indicate he wasn't overly loyal.
