I assumed that finding the raw materials was one of the biggest problems. I mean where would you find a sorcerer's corpse that is still in good enough shape to be resurrected in one piece?

Soulblighter may very well have had the tools and the knowledge, at least by the time of Myth II. He did manage to bring back Shiver, and while she wasn't a shade she did have some of the characteristics of one afterwards.
