: Actually, a simpler explanation is the one we had assumed
: for so long before back in the Good Old Days: that The
: Watcher killed Mazzarin in the Wind Age, Mazz was at
: some point made into a shade, shade-Mazzarin killed
: the living Sinis during Alric's lifetime, Sinis was at
: some point turned into a shade, then Alric kills
: shade-Sinis on Out of the Barrier, and our zerks kill
: shade-Mazz on The Watcher (and then they kill The
: Watcher too... what goes around, comes around).
Well, although I agree with the idea that the Shade Mazz killed Sinis another possable answere is that the liveing Mazz killed Sinis and that battle was recorded. The Nine were certenly treated to a better education in history than the average Joe, especily concering the greatest in their history.
: "The Nine" and "The Avatara" are
: synonymous, but the current membership of The Nine in
: TFL is not the ONLY membership ever; Mazzarin,
: Myrdred, etc, used to be in it too.
Refresh me, as I recall the Nine were supposedly the "protectors" of the West. Would that leave room for a different assosiation of Avatara in the East before it was blighted?
Sorry, it has been awhile.
