: Oh! I thought you meant that Connacht just didn't touch
: some temples. I didn't think you meant "buildings
: left standing" meant ruins. Ok; well yeah, I'm
: sure we can agree on that. Ruins are naturally left
: standing.
: In any case, I doubt that any shrine would actually
: remain high enough to collapse upon a mage and kill
: him, potentially, if it were after Connacht's
: rampaging.
: Needless to say, we can be sure that the collapsing of
: the Shrine of Nyx did not happen after the Wind Age.

Given the size of Trow ruins, if anything's left standing, it can fall over and kill somebody. :-)

And if the Trow's capital, presumably hardest-hit by Connacht, can still have walls and columns standing 1,000 years after the catastrophe, I think it's quite possible that more remote and obscure Trow cities could have had whole buildings standing in the early Wolf Age. As an extreme case of "remote and obscure," consider Si'anwon; though GURPS has the Watcher visiting it in the Wind Age, Forrest brought up the very real possibility that it was sunk by Connacht himself. In which case it would be a good example of an incompletely-destroyed city.

I do think that this particular Shrine of Nyx probably collapsed in the Wind Age, but I don't think it's absolutely impossible that it did so some time after Connacht's Great War.

: Also, Mazzarin the Shade would have needed to live for
: more like 2000 years, depending when in the Wind Age
: he was killed. Perhaps, keep it even at 1500? :-)

Very true. But the early part of his lifespan would have been comparatively risk-free; he'd be a powerful Dark entity in a Dark Age. What's surprising to me is if he survived past the Watcher's imprisonment and then through more than 500 years of Light rule.
