: If anyone knows wh to speak Latin tell us what furor
: peticus means and I'll answer this part of the post.
: But I'll just say that the Trow hated all other races. I
: don't think that they would have left humans near
: their most hallowed structure.
"Furor Poeticus" means "poetic madness." Certain cultures consider poets and bards to be both insane and divinely-inspired...their actions and words are not the product of reason but rather of the gods piping information directly into their brains. Basically, Myrdred's smart, creative and half-mad, and the Trow find that combination very interesting.
So no, they didn't hate everyone else. They had a superiority complex a light-year long, and most other races fell into the categories Ignore, Enslave or Exterminate, but individuals like Myrdred could still win their respect. You can see this in modern times, too...walk into the Trow lands and you'll generally get clobbered, but if you're gathering info for Antero's Bestiary they're willing to hang around and talk.
Plus, as I said, humans are small and Trow are good at ignoring things. Backed up by camouflage/transportation magics, they could sneak lots of places without the Trow noticing.
: Naa. THE Shrine of Nyx would be enormous. I mean like
: enourmous to a TROW.
: And they were not substantial ruins. Tiny ruins Tiny
: ruins if you human minute ruins to a Trow. I don't
: think that Connacht overlookedany shrine to Nyx
: because they were so important to Trow society and
: would bee one hell of a spit in the face of the Trow.
: But it was "every Shrine, every edifices we built fo
: the love of Nyx."
: Not every building.
An edifice *is* a building. :-)
The Trow built everything for Nyx.
: I'll say this again Connacht would definetly destroyed
: every Shrine to Nyx and made sure of it because this
: would be a great insult to the Trow.
Aside from the issue of whether Connacht was particularly interested in insulting the Trow, we have no reason to think he completely wrecked every city. We've seen a few areas of Rhi'ornin and Rhi'anon; Rhi'anon in particular was the heart of the Trow culture, so it would naturally be the most completely razed by Connacht. And even Rhi'anon had some columns and walls standing.
: One. Phelot escaped the Battle in "Shiver"
a) No one even tried to stop Phelot, the sheer weirdness of which is dealt with in many theories on what happened to The Deceiver, and
b) God knows what happened to him later.
: Two. he mightent have been there all the time. A shade
: this tough may have his own Army.
I strongly doubt that the Watcher would defeat and Shadify Mazzarin, only to send him off partying on his own with his own private army. Mazzarin would command troops under the close and...uh...watchful eye of the Watcher. And when things were going badly for the Watcher, Mazzarin would be recalled immediately to defend him.
: Three. In life he was the greatest Avatara of the 4 ages.
: Not the 5th though that may have been one of the Nine,
: (and not Alric since he wasn't the most Magically
: powerfull (kinda like SB) but was the most tacticaly
: minded (kinda like SB)). In undeath he was still tough
: but after over 1000 years of fighting he was weakend
: by battling against Dec in a previous battle maybe by
: Alric too and if he changed sides by the Watcher
: aswell.
The more powerful he was, the more important a target he'd be for Connacht and his buds. They wouldn't let the most powerful Avatara in history float around out there plotting the downfall of all that is Good and Just. The Nine and the entire Cath Bruig army would be after him, chasing wherever he fled.
: Four. For most of those 1000 years he would have been in
: the Untamed lands training.
Training for what? He can't do anything any other Shade can't do. And if he had sufficient initiative and self-possession to flee to the Untamed Lands and start training, he'd make sure he wasn't the Watcher's slave again in a thousand years.
