Definitely food for thought

In Response To: Re: these kind of debates :) (Forrest of B.org)

you present some really tasty food for thought

: Ah, but what if, instead of just animating a corpse, the
: Dream of Unlife can fully ressurect a dead person,
: bringing their entire soul and everything back to life
: - perhaps like the Summoner did with the Myrkridia.

very interesting thought... perhaps that is exactly What the Summoner was doing... maybe he had gained the dream of unlife and began fully ressurecting the Krids which the Dream. seems to me a very possible.. err, possibility

: Or
: maybe it works the other way around - the cast it on a
: living person and they become immortal - you can't
: kill them because they're un-alive. You would have to
: un-kill them, or heal them. Like Balor with Myrmidons
: perhaps? That may be why nobody can recreate Myrms -
: nobody else has the Dream of Unlife.

hmm you lost me in that one :) actually i know exactly what you're saying. perhaps Balor used the unlife dream just as the SUmmoner did but because the Myrms were still alive, the dream had the opposite effect of making them ageless.

: Apparently Soulblighter at least didn't know how to make
: undead, excepting perhaps Soulless. It says in the
: Myth II manual, or somewhere about Myth II, that
: Soulblighter learned Balor's greatest secret - the
: resurrection of the dead - and thus built his army and
: attacked the world of the living.

yes i remember that quote vividly also, just cannot remember where the heck i can find it again.

: The Watcher most
: certainly already knew how to make Thrall, and Shiver
: how to make Ghasts and Wights. The Deceiver doesn't
: seem to have meddled with any Undead though, and we
: don't know about the other two Fallen. But it does say
: "Balor's greatest secret", so...

yup undead making was his greatest secret: even though Fetch were powerful and Myrms stronger, the undead thrall were most definitely the strong backbone of the Dark.
