: That may still have been their intent. The Legion didn't
: just leave the Tain from some hidden exit; two
: superpowerful Avatara blew the whole thing up, and
: died for it. Now that doesn't sound like the escape
: route the Tain builders intended. :-) If there's a
: "back door" you can leave from *without*
: dying and destroying the entire artifact, it's not one
: the Legion found.
I agree with you, but I've always been confused: what were those exits for in Smiths and Heart of Stone levels then? i know that the two avatars destroyed it to escape their armies, but what were those exits about? you know the bridge and the portal?
it is possible that those are just exits to another part of the Tain, but that's a little stretched maybe you know something i dont
: According to Tales, the Tain is also an access point onto
: the Spider-world. And it contains barriers and
: lightning towers which are most likely intended to
: protect certain areas from hostile creatures. This
: indicates that the Spider-Cult spent some time in the
: Tain themselves, most likely fleeing there when
: Connacht attacked their shrines. So yes, it seems to
: have had a dual purpose.
agree there too :)
before i sign off, i want to ask something: we all know that the race of Myrkridia was trapped inside the tain. they probably went extinct in there without any food except themselves and maybe some spiders.
the Krid extinction is the only reason to explain why no one of the Legion saw any Krids at all, right? i mean, saying that "it's too big therefore they odds of them bumping into each other" just doesn't work, since Krids would have heard them and hunted them.
they couldn't have because they were extinct.
but here's the question: the Summoner was taking the skulls of the dead Myrks and recreating them right? he wasn't taking just random skulls from the ground, because he'd just reanimate whoever belonged to that skull, which was probably not a Krid. so those were extinct Krid skulls we saw next to the other skulls in the Tain on "The Summoner"?
