To be fair, we don't know that Forsaken used the same, or even a similar, summonation method to the Myrmidons. All we know of them so far is that they seem to run rather than shamble, have dust rather than blood, and have two blades each. And don't have anywhere near as much style as Myrmidons: no bandages! no gridaksma blades! blades far too thin! they look like toothpicks (both the blades and the Forsaken themselves)! don't have a cool greek inspired name!
I may add to this list at a later date. :)
Seriously though, we don't even know that the Forsaken were even summoned or ensorcelled in the first place. Perhaps they're just nutters who were so obsessed that the subject of their obsession causes them to carry on after death, much like Tolkein's Wights. What the difference between these and Mahir is, I'm not sure, but still, "held together only by... the desire to rend flesh from the bodies of the living." Now, where have I heard that before?
