: If you believe that the Dream of Unlife is all it takes
: to create Thrall then yes I think any powerful magic
: user capable of casting a Dream Spell could make them.
Aargh! I've just spent the last two days arguing that Bahl'al didn't find the Dream of Unlife, and thus, Thrall were not created in this method. Either way, your response supports my original idea.
: It must be possible for them to be corrupted, however I
: believe it is highly unlikely since only six are
: carefully chosen every seven years to join them and
: the honour of being chosen is so great that they would
: sacrifice their lives in place of any harm coming to
: the Cath Bruig. These brave and renowned men were the
: Emperor's personal guard until they disbanded and must
: have been the most trustworthy warriors in the whole
: of MythWorld. These guys learnt how to heal people
: from roots, carried 9 times their own weight, and left
: their warrior ways to pursue life away from home all
: in penance! They're piously devoted to their Empire
: and Emperor. I somehow doubt anyone could corrupt them
: just like that. These fellas are indeed shining
: examples of humanity.
I wasn't thinking a simple thing like a pretty lady or some money, I was thinking deep seated envy or brooding hatred over a past indescretion. These guys have been around a while, it is likely they'd have a few grudges to act on.
: Incidentally, do you think a Binding Dream would work on
: them?
Think so, I'm pretty sure only Undead are immune to its touches. And big mothers like Myrk Giants.
