: Actually Myth names seem to be very accurate.
yup, but not always in the 'complete' sense... we were arguing that thrall means a Loss of freedom, when a corpse had no freedom at all and is therefore just a puppet as you describe below. i guess we're settled on that one :)
: Soulless
: are just that, Thrall are slaves to the Dark and Ghols
: are based on their flesh-eating counterparts from Mid
: Eastern Lore.
yup
: Dreams are aptly named as well since they are believed by
: Mythworlders to be the Dreams of the sleeping Wyrd.
: Now this is of course GURPS info, but since every
: other name seems to fit in the Mythworld, why not this
: one as well?
if 'this one' is "thrall", it cannot be taken for its Complete english meaning because a corpse is a corpse, and had no freedom... it's dead. to make it into a Thrall doesn't take away the understood freedom of lowercase 'thrall' because there's none to take away. so i agree that no freedom is taken away to make it Become a slave, it's just made a slave by the 'unlife' process and that's all.
ill go out on a limb here and imagine that GURPS is correct about the whole Wyrd deal, then yup you're right
