: you mean zombies that think? :)
: umm usually they are mindless beasts, and in the Myth
: world they are mindless zombies under the command of
: Dark sorcerors
Zombies (originally from the Hawaiin islands?) were not risen from the dead by magic though, and so possessed some form of sentience, no matter how base.
: I see exactly what you're saying. The person who once
: owned that body is still dead, whereever dead people
: go in Myth, but it's just his body that is reanimated.
: I agree with this, but I say that the dream of unlife
: is the only way one can reanimate corpses. One cannot
: make that person 'live' again in his previous body.
Then technically it isn't life at all. Life is typically related to free will, breathing etc. This is more like a form of puppetry, in which a person's body is in the control of a master. A true example of a Thrall if ever there was one.
: So you and i actually differ in what we think the dream
: of unlife does, the lesser arguement being whether or
: not it has been discovered.
I suppose so, although I am of the belief that he hasn't yet found the Dream of Unlife. Maybe TWA will solve our arguments.
: i still believe that, in context, obviously implied in
: the Thrall string about Bahl'al, that the dream of
: unlife was discovered in the broken trow city, and
: that this dream was Soulblighter's most precious
: secret spoken about in the game, a source of canon.
Even if the Watcher did discover it, the real question is, did he pass it on to the other Fallen Lords and Balor? If it did more than create Thrall (as Fobo argues, but he says it wasn't discovered), then why didn't Soulblighter use this to his advantage. We know that Wights were created by Shiver, before the Dream was supposedly discovered, and that Soulblighter or Shiver (see above thread) created Soulless. The only remaining Undead are Shades, Ghasts (which are part of the Wight process), Bonemen and Myrmidons. I don't know the origins of the Bonemen, but Myrmidons were Balor's creation and I'd assume that Shades were as well. If the Dream of Unlife is responsible for the creation of all Undead, then has it been lost again due to the Watcher and Soulblighter dying?
