: I'm sure I misplaced a few words, but that's basically
: it. Look it up in the Encyclopedia for the exact
: quote.

"Of all the avatara in the Four Ages there is no doubt that Mazzarin was the most powerful and his death the most salient victory of the Dark during the Wind Age."

However, no known Levellers, Heroes, or Fallen Lords fall under the category of "Avatara of the Four Ages," assuming those are Axe, Reason, Wind and Wolf. Myrdred was a Fallen Lord after he was an Avatara; Alric's ascent to Hero-hood took place in the fifth Age, the Sword Age. Even assuming the old definition of "Avatara" as "Light-Aligned Archmage," this still holds true.

GURPS holds Mazzarin to be probably the greatest Archmage period, but I'd say this still excludes Levellers and Heroes, who have divine right and so forth backing them up.

Mazzarin's death was the greatest victory of the Dark *during* the Wind Age. I don't think that's being compared to Moagim's victory, which occurred at that Age's start--merely to the other events which happened between the two Great WArs.
