I still think that Alric "pulled" the troops through the Knot from his main force. And if any Knot can teleport troops to any other Knot, why bother with the long, dangerous march to Rhi'Anon in the first place? (Okay, I know the knot was destroyed at the beginning of the war). And when Myrkrydia were overrunning Madrigal, why bother trying to escape by ship, taking loads of casualties in the process, when you can simply Knot over to the Plain of Scales?
