In Response To: Re: The Millenia Club and other chronological crap (The Crimson King)

: We shouldn't jump to conclusions too quickly. Nothing
: states that the Eras are the thousand-year-long cyclic
: periods, eventhough it does make a lot of sense. For
: all we know, the Great War and the death of
: Soulblighter could still be in the Fourth Era.

"In the Second Era, blah blah. A thousand years later, blah blah. Then in the Fourth Era, blah blah."

(Paraphrased from the M2 Epilogue).

That's a pretty strong implication that each Era is a thousand years long, since the "thousand years later" is presumably not in teh Second of Fourth eras, making it the Third.

: The Myrkridia seemed to have been around before Moagim
: ever came to include them into his ranks. According to
: the Trow in Antero's Bestiary, the Oghres rebelled
: after twelve centuries of slavery and when the Trow
: had made the Oghres go extinct, Connacht came in and
: imprisoned them. The Myrkridia was apparantly around
: during the Golden Age of the Trow, which should've
: been either during or before their passion for
: enslaving peoples.

: Lemme shove in some other dates here, then.

: 5950
: Balor sacks Muirthemne.

: 5982
: The war against Balor starts, most likely the war against
: the cities lead by Madrigal.

: Did it take Balor 450 years to destroy Muirthemne and
: fail to find the Ibis Crown there?

Balor didn't just pop into existance with his armies, any more than the Light just magically -zap- deleted the Dark and rebuilt their empire. It takes time to start building your forces. The Wolf Age started when Balor showed up. Towards the end, civilization was finally destroyed, and then he died.

: I think you failed to mention one age or another here.
: Because ."...the Age of Reason itself, the one
: between the Age of Reason and the Wind age, and the
: Wind Age itself." makes very little sense to me.
: Did the Age of Reason follow itself?

I agree that was vague. I meant.

The Age of Reason,
The [Age in between Age of Reason and Wind Age], and
The Wind Age

: You lost me there. Why is the Age of Light and old name
: for the Wind age?

The Wind Age, in earlier development cycles of Myth, was called the Age of Light. Thus, "Age of Light" was an old name for "Wind Age".
