The lightning attack made Soulblighter run in circles, unable to fight back--unless he's less powerful than Shiver at this point (which I don't think--he was in Myth TFL, but he's improved and she's degenerated since then), it'd probably work similarly to keep her from attacking. And he can take a couple of her ripple attacks without dying--time enough to finish her off.
