Yeah, but what spell was using Alric to throw him into lava? In game it looks like Dispersal Dream.

: Stone. Never got to test that out on Soulblighter.
And what did Eblis Stone do? It only paralyz him, it didn't make him damage. If you chose SB fron levels "MoC", "TB" and "forge" you can't make him damage.
In level "Murder of Crows" we can't kill him with swords, because they can't make him a lot of damage and can't kill him.
In level "Twice Born" only Balmung(and lighting attacks) can make him damage, nothing more can make him damage.
In level "The Forge" we can't even attack him, he's protected and if you try attack him, your units die before they can attack him.
