I think that Head that if he find this armor, he would be invulnerable and he could kill Balor and his Fallen very easy and quickly.
So, Alric thought that he could find it very easy.
Head don't order him, he only says him that it will be very easy to kill Balor with this armor, and Alric decide to go to find it.
