'cause in TFL when you've made the diversion at
Comfort, the garrison in Madrigal throw open
the Gate of Storms and attack Shiver head-on.
This clearly implies an actual gate, hence an
actual wall. This'd make sense as there's no
way a town can defend itself under siege without
a wall.
You don't see a wall (or a gate) in Gate of Storms
because we're well inside the town approaching the
harbour. The level's cutscene shows Alric being
smuggled out of his palace as the myrkridia arrive,
hence it seems that the main town & defences of
Madrigal are separate from the harbour, which Alric's
trying to get to.
Why did they call this level Gate of Storms then?
Beats me.
