Disc, I think that he looks like zerk, because he must be very powefull and very fast unit-like berserks.
I don't think that he would wear armor because:
1- He would be very powefull mage and he doesn't need wear armor, because he would be like SB: very fast and very powerfull- so he doesn't need armor.
2- It wouldn't be very good game if Moagim Reborn would wear armor- he would look like Balor.
Image the same unit only changed name, flavor text, some changes in armor, sword, etc... It wouldn't be very exciting game.
3- I don't think that all levellers must wear armor. I think that Balor wasn't too powerful mage, and wore armor because it was his salvation, armor and his sword.
Without his sword and armor his enemies could kill him very ease.
